Common Wealth Youth Organization Pakistan

Let’s live in deeds not in years, as life is temporary and every moment a challenge

Ever since the independence of the nations, the diversified societies of the Commonwealth are struggling to overcome their problems and to attain the developed status. The colonial past is mutually shared by different nations, wherein it creates imbalances, at the same time, it provides common values, which could be utilized to overcome the differences and biases. The famous last address of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon Him) could be attributed which is probably the first sermon in the history on the fundamental human rights. Based on the same basic principles, the Human Rights charters have been formulated. Similarly, the Commonwealth is also one such platform to share the mutual strengths.
The nature has blessed youth with immense qualities and potential, which nations should utilize for ultimate progress of their societies. The Commonwealth secretariat was created in 1964, and it took valuable steps on youth education and participation. The Post Graduate Studies on youth in development is a remarkable course being taught in almost 27 countries of the member states. In Pakistan, the prestigious institute Allam Iqbal Open University sponsored this course.
Through this course much knowledge and information has been assimilated, which  also revealed that the neighboring country India  makes one out of the four regional centers of the Commonwealth secretariat ; whereas Pakistan  is not actively utilizing this platform, though youth makes more than half bulk of the Pakistani population. Keeping these aspects in mind, this platform, Commonwealth Youth Association of Pakistan (CYAP), is being launched. It is expected that the AIOU and Higher Education Commission, will help and assist the platform of CYAP. At the same time, cooperation would also be sought from Commonwealth Secretariat, to make the platform of CYAP active, meaningful and result oriented.
